I started PhotoFolic as separate brand from my Wedding Business because while both are photography, they are very different types of photography with drastically different needs.
I wanted my portrait clients to have a photography experience as special and fun as my wedding clients.

- We’ll discuss your style preferences and schedule a day and time.
- Generally, shoots are scheduled weekdays in the mornings or afternoon/evening (for the best light).
- I do schedule one to two Saturdays a month, but those sessions fill up quickly.
- After the shoot, you’ll see a sneak peek of a few images on the blog within 48 hours
- We’ll schedule an Ordering Session or if you choose not to do an Ordering Session, I’ll give you an anticipated date that your online gallery will be posted (generally within 2 weeks)
What are my Style Options?
I am primarily a natural light, on location shooter. I do offer a few studio options, but in general, I like to meet you somewhere around Austin. Your home, a gorgeous field at sunset or a funky and colorful part of downtown. I want your photos to be a reflection of who you are as a family. Do you want to have me document a family picnic, a day at the mini-golf course, some time at the carnival, your little people running through the sprinklers in the backyard? Do you want a more stylized session with a more natural portrait feel to it? Just let me know what your dream end goal is and I’ll make some suggestions.
For newborn and baby sessions, you have options as well. We can do a very natural lifestyle session at your home. It’s easy to include the whole family that way. I’m also happy to bring some of my baby props to enable us to style some of the photos of the little one.
What’s an Ordering Session?
All Portrait Sessions come with an option to schedule an Ordering Session at my studio. You increase your product credit by $25 when you schedule one.
- Before the session, you’ll have a little homework; measuring walls, thinking about photography as an art piece in your home, thinking about if you’ll need gift prints, albums, etc.
- You’ll view a slide show premiere of your photographs (With treats! There are always treats at the studio.)
- We’ll go over your favorites while discussing cropping options, which images would be good as a set, in black and white, etc.
- You’ll be able to see and feel album options and what an 11×14 actually looks like on a wall.
- You’ll be able to build discounted Custom Collections of prints and products that you can’t purchase online.
